What is Anteater Television?

Anteater Television is an organization at the University of California, Irvine, that covers different types of media in Orange County and creates different forms of content. Their primary divisions are Hotspots (coverage of different foods/beverages in Orange County), Zot Sessions (Music videos), and Zot Thoughts (Podcast).

Roles:

Producer of Hotspots - As Producer of Hotspots I was responsible for research, outreach, planning, scheduling, budgeting, and post-production for our hotspots division. I was responsible for the pre-production process which included outreach to local businesses for shoots, scheduling of interns to arrive at the shoots, transportation for all parties coming to shoots, utilizing our resources and what we have available for a successful shoot, and finalizing script for our anchors to follow. During shoots, I communicated with the staff/owner, and was responsible for ensuring a successful shoot with our interns. During post-production, I had to follow the editing process, set up deadlines, and greenlight all decisions made for the final product.

Production Intern - As a production intern, I had to learn how to be on set, help contribute to a successful shoot, and create social media for the organization. In this role, I learned much more about the film industry, and how sets work for different types of shooting including hotspots, documentary film, and music video shoots.
